Event Types
The Bowling Green American Marketing Association holds one or two socials each semester for our members to socialize in a more comfortable setting. The socials are important for members to make new friends, and talk about ideas.
Most of our socials are after our big events, and are a way of celebrating our successes.
Each year BGAMA takes members on two trips: one long distance, one short distance. In November our members will have the opportunity to travel to Nashville to meet with businesses, and network with BGSU Alumni, as well as soak in some Music City culture! Our short distance trip is typically within the state. This year we will be traveling to Columbus.
In the past BGAMA as sent members to Chicago, New York City, and Cleveland.
BGAMA conducts many community service events each year. We have worked with Race for the Cure, Adopt a Family, and Adopt a Highway.
This year we will be working with Woodlane Industries to promote their Laser Cartridge Express. L.C.E. remanufactures laser, ink jet, copy and fax cartridges for many large businesses. They provide jobs for mentally challenged people, and are able to give them the opportunity to live a normal life. For more info go to http://www.woodmrdd.org/lce.php.

Campus Fest
The Bowling Green American Marketing Association is once again excited to be apart of BGSU’s Campus Fest! Campus fest is a university event held each fall in the Traditions Quad for students to see the 300+ student organizations there are to get involved with. Look for our booth to have some fun and excitement!
As an organization we are always looking to improve, which is why this year we will be having our best booth yet! All are invited for a fun day of fishing and finding out what the BGAMA is all about. This year we are going to have a literal prize pool where students, staff, faculty, and visitors will be able to fish prizes from a small pool with BGAMA gear, actual gold fish and giveaways!
So come on out and have a great time with the BGAMA!
2nd Annual Charity Golf Scramble
BGAMA will be hosting its second Golf Scramble. This year the great difference is that it is a Charity Golf Scramble that will be benefiting the Wood Lane Industries. The event is going to be taking place on September 26th with tee times starting at 10am. It is going to be a wonderful opportunity for BG faculty, students and alumni along with our members and corporate sponsors to network with each other. Our corporate sponsors will be going out with BG students on the course to get the chance to network in a very realistic business setting, the same goes for our faculty they will also be teamed up with BG students.
To make this event successful BGAMA executive members will be working very hard to find local business to sponsor holes, food, prizes etc. As said before it is a charity event, therefore the money that is raised for this event will be going toward a project BGAMA is working on for Wood Lane Industries. The project being a marketing plan that will help to promote what great things Wood Lane Industries does for the BG community.
